Grassroots Sales & Marketing Manager

Join Road Runner Sports as a Grassroots Sales & Marketing Manager and use your talents to help us continue to WOW our customers and support our Road Runner Sports Team as you become an integral member of the Grassroots Marketing Team that will have a big impact in balancing existing partnerships while seeking new opportunities! What you’ll get to do:

• Research your territory to constantly have your finger on the pulse of all fitness groups, teams and events
• Contact new potential partners and existing partners to build strong relationships and professionally represent Road Runner Sports in the community
• Seek partnership opportunities and negotiate contracts while managing your sponsorship budget by store
• Execute your partnership deliverables and hold your partners accountable to doing the same
• Plan and communicate event details between partners and store managers to set them up for successful events
• Maintain weekly reporting of your results by partnership and by store and attend weekly meetings to discuss successes, opportunities and market trends
• Drive to exceed event and revenue goals for stores in your territory

What you bring to the table

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in goal-driven sales environment
• Passionate about the running/walking/fitness community
• Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 with some weekend availability to attend events
• Willingness to travel occasionally and support larger events in your territory

• Accountability and ability to create and provide regular reports on your upcoming events and progress to your Grassroots Marketing team and your managers.
• Natural competitive spirit and a winning personality. Build relationships and lead grassroots campaigns for our retail stores. This is the sales/marketing position you’ve been dreaming of!

• Team player who can work as well independently as you can partnering with your store managers, sales associates, and your Grassroots Marketing team.
