Loss Prevention Analyst

Join Road Runner Sports as our next Loss Prevention Analyst. In this position you will play an integral part in the development and implementation of our loss prevention programs to protect company assets and report findings to the Executive Team. This role will sit within the Financial Management Team and partner across the organization in applying analytical findings and variances to improve our loss prevention programs across all channels.

What you will get to do as a Loss Prevention Analyst:

• You will create Loss Prevention programs to minimize potential loss and shrinkage (inventory shrink, gift card fraud/theft, discount manipulation and abuse, company credit card program, cash handling in retail locations, incentive program abuse, team member benefit abuse, team member payroll abuse, prevent vendor theft
• Alert management of any potential risk areas or loss prevention opportunities
• Meet regularly with retail operations director to discuss findings of potential risks by location and department
• Maintain reporting on Loss Prevention programs for monthly, quarterly, and annual review
• Miscellaneous reporting and projects as needed
• Participate in investigation assignments as needed
• Investigate any illegal or suspicious activity involving team members and/or customers
• Work with law enforcement, as needed, for any theft or fraud findings
• Provide retail management with best practices and training to further Loss Prevention goals and initiatives
• Security and safety responsibilities including involvement with Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP)

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will possess three to five years of related experience, preferably in a larger retail company.
• The right combination of ability to identify the most appropriate problem-solving techniques, be a team player as well as autonomous, ability to quickly adapt of pivot when needed, recommend, incorporate feedback and recommendations to improve performance and maintain an overall professional, optimistic, and a positive approach.
• Comfortable with mathematical skills, analyzing and interpreting financial and legal documents, working with abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to be detail-oriented, complete multiple tasks simultaneously
• Accuracy and timeliness
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 360; including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel
