HR Manager

As a Human Resources Manager with Road Runner Sports, you will be the primary HR Business Partner to a Regional Retail Director, in support of half of our stores (26+ out of 50), and select corporate clients. What you'll get to do:

• You will be supported by an HR Coordinator and will support the growth and development of your direct report(s).
• You will be one of the key leaders in a broader HR, Recruiting Team and Learning & Development Team.
• You will serve as an Team Member Relations expert, and a Generalist, with passion for and experience in, one or more of the following areas: Benefits, LOAs, Workers Compensation, 401(k), Compensation, or other HR disciplines.
• You will help build the capability of Managers to be great leaders of people and teams.
• You will contribute your subject matter expertise regarding HRIS, Timekeeping, and Applicant Tracking systems. We currently use ADP WFN, ADP timekeeping, and ICIMS.
• You will partner with the VP of HR and other HR and organizational leaders on the design of competitive compensation, bonus, benefits, recognition, and other programs.
• You will be an ambassador for our fun positive work environment and will be a leader in the council that fosters teamwork and recognition on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
• You will share responsibility for HR data integrity and recordkeeping, reporting and analysis, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

• This position is 100% based in our San Diego Support Center.
• Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, plus at least seven years of progressively responsible HR business partner experience.

• You will have superior communication, customer service, and management skills along with the ability to present positive messaging and communicate vital information to our internal customers on a daily basis. • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, professional publications, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, presentations, SOPs, and training materials. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of internal managers, clients, customers, and Team Members.
• Comfortable with mathematical concepts, financial information, and HR data. Strong skills in developing and analyzing HR and other business metrics.
• Advanced ability with Excel, Word and HRIS applications.
