Assistant Product Manager

Join Road Runner Sports as our next Assistant Product Manager. In this role you will play an integral part in supporting the development and execution of product assortment, pricing and merchandising strategies. The Assistant Product Manager will have the opportunity to work alongside our Product Manager to build something great together that creates alignment with revenue goals and business objectives.

What you will get to do as the Assistant Product Manager:

• You will assist with data entry on seasonal plans, runs and analyzes sales reports for the Product Manager.
• Seek awareness of market trends and knowledge of competitive landscapes while assisting in product analysis.
• Maintain Buy Plan with correct product information, pricing, and product status. As well as utilize Buy Plan to build product assortments.
• Maintain correct sample inventory, which includes the checking in/out of samples for photoshoots
• Prepare and audit product loads for Road Runner Sports Website and 3rd party websites while ensuring uniform manifold approximation and projection compliance. 
• You will work alongside the Product Manager to monitor product presentations on the web and in the retail stores while developing strategic and tactical adjustments as needed.
• Assist in developing and maintaining vendor partnerships while managing both the return authorizations and the return to vendor process in stores and distribution centers to maintain accurate inventory levels. 
• Work alongside the Product Manager on how to drive the look and feel of all creative that supports product.
• Close collaboration with the Marketing and Visual Merchandising team to drive key item campaigns and new product launches.
• Assist the Product Manager in managing co-op marketing programs and identifying key areas of opportunity in managing internal/external customers.
• Develop knowledge and proficiency in cross channel merchandising.
• Assist in executing the markdown process and data entry of systems. 
• Manage the retail communication from the department to the retail teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or 2-3 years of relevant experience 
• Proficency in excel to both produce & analyze reports of data for product assortment and the development of business strategies
• Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of skill set in Word and Outlook
• Display excellent communication skills and the ability partner with other departments to recognize and resolve issues related to the achievement of Company goals and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a high attention to detail & ability to work independently 
• Pocess strong analytical skills to interpret data and problem solve in a creative manner 
• Ability to present information in a clear and compelling way
• Able and willing to travel up to 35% of the time
