Are you passionate about the running, walking and fitness community?     Join Road Runner Sports as our next Event Crew Member where you will be the face of Grassroots Marketing events at Road Runner Sports, supporting event partners and engaging participants. You’ll help set up and break down events, while ensuring a smooth event flow and leading our event day initiatives. Your work will help to better connect events to our stores and elevate our presence in the fitness community. - Engage participants at in store packet pickups to celebrate their journey to the race start line, while handing out coupons and promoting our sweepstakes - Set up and break down events, while acting as the liaison between the store and the event partner to make sure that they’re welcome and supported while in the store - Address run and fitness group partners of various sizes with a Shoe & Gear clinic to introduce them to Road Runner Sports - Work with Grassroots Manager and Store Manager to understand event setup and expectations. - Monitor event flow and help as needed to eliminate wait times or engage participants as they wait - Assess each event and send feedback - Attend community events, representing Road Runner Sports and promoting our stores in the region. Qualifications: - Passionate about the running/walking/fitness community and maintain strong relationships within these communities. - Participant in community fitness events - Experience speaking to groups of 40 or more people and naturally comfortable in that setting - Willingness to engage any and all event participants and be enthusiastic about their event - Ability to work at any store in your territory during standard event times, typically evenings and weekends - Reliable transportation - Team player who can work as well with all store team members as you can with event partners - Comfortable working variable shifts across multiple locations.
